At Göl Dialysis Center, a key component of hemodialysis treatment is our team of experienced physicians and regular medical follow-up. Our healthcare team combines expertise in nephrology with many years of experience in dialysis medicine; we evaluate our patients’ treatment processes in the context of their overall health, rather than limiting them solely to dialysis sessions.
We regularly monitor our patients’ clinical conditions, laboratory results, blood pressure and fluid balance, dialysis adequacy, and any health issues that may arise during treatment. Prof. Dr. Mahmut İlker Yılmaz and Dr. Fakiye Özkaraca, drawing on their many years of professional experience, provide patient-centered, consistent, and comprehensive care at Göl Dialysis Center.
Prof. Dr. Mahmut İlker Yılmaz
Nephrologist
Prof. Dr. Mahmut İlker Yılmaz graduated from the Gülhane Medical Academy in 1994. With his many years of medical and academic experience, he continues his work particularly in the fields of nephrology, kidney diseases, and dialysis treatment.
Areas of Expertise and Practice
Prof. Dr. Mahmut İlker Yılmaz’s primary areas of practice include kidney diseases, hypertension, diabetes, and metabolic disorders. In addition, he has experience in the evaluation of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, as well as thyroid disorders, obesity, and hematological diseases.
Asthma, COPD, and respiratory tract infections, as well as gastrointestinal and rheumatological diseases, are also part of his clinical practice.

Prof. Dr. Mahmut İlker Yılmaz is responsible for the clinical evaluation of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment at the Göl Dialysis Center, the regular monitoring of their treatment processes, and the interpretation of laboratory results.
He contributes to the comprehensive evaluation of dialysis patients not only in terms of kidney function but also regarding blood pressure, fluid balance, cardiovascular status, metabolic issues, and comorbid chronic diseases.
Dr. Fakiye Özkaraca
Dialysis Physician
Dr. Fakiye Özkaraca graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Anadolu University in 1985. In addition to her many years of medical experience, she has been working as a dialysis physician since 1999 and plays an active role in the follow–up and treatment of patients undergoing hemodialysis for chronic kidney disease.
Experience in Dialysis
With many years of experience in dialysis treatment, Dr. Fakiye Özkaraca is involved in the clinical evaluation of patients before and after dialysis, the monitoring of issues that may arise during treatment, the control of blood pressure and fluid balance, and the evaluation of laboratory results.
Because hemodialysis is a regular and long–term treatment, she adopts an approach that emphasizes the regular monitoring not only of patients’ dialysis sessions but also of their overall health status and their response to treatment.
Role at Göl Dialysis Center
At Göl Dialysis Center, Dr. Fakiye Özkaraca is responsible for the daily clinical monitoring of dialysis patients, the evaluation of treatment processes, and the coordination of patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
With her many years of experience in dialysis medicine, she contributes to ensuring that patients’ treatment processes are conducted in a consistent, safe, and patient–centered manner.
